No. 309

Genre
Romantic Comedy

“No. 309” combines mistaken identity, an inheritance race and a wildly complicated family romance in a bright, character-driven comedy. At its heart are Lale Yenilmez and Onur Sarihan, two people who have both given up on love. Florist Lale no longer trusts men after past disappointments, while wealthy businessman Onur enjoys a carefree life with no plans to settle down.

Everything changes when Onur's grandfather leaves behind an extraordinary condition in his will. Between Onur and his cousin Erol, the first to marry and have a child will inherit a hugely valuable share of the family company. The announcement turns marriage into a fierce family competition and sparks a race to the wedding hall.

The rivalry is fuelled by the grandsons' ambitious mothers, each determined to secure the fortune for her own son. At the same time, Lale's mother is pursuing a mission of her own, hoping to finally find a suitable husband for her daughter after years of disappointment and failed expectations.

The two schemes collide when Lale and Onur arrive for separate blind dates at the same venue. A misunderstanding leads them to believe they are each other's intended match, and an awkward introduction soon develops into an unexpectedly enjoyable evening. What begins as a simple mistake quickly takes a far more dramatic turn.

After a chaotic night that ends in hotel room No. 309, the pair wake unable to clearly remember what happened. Embarrassed by the situation, they agree to go their separate ways and never meet again. Both believe the incident is behind them and return to their lives without expecting any further consequences.

Three months later, Lale discovers she is pregnant. The news throws both families into turmoil and reignites various rivalries within the Sarihan household. Onur's formidable grandmother İsmet sees the pregnancy as the perfect opportunity to secure the family's future and insists that the couple marry immediately.

As relatives interfere from every direction, the pressure on Lale and Onur continues to grow. Erol watches his hopes of winning the inheritance begin to slip away, while competing agendas, family scheming and endless misunderstandings create a stream of comic complications for everyone involved.

Forced together by unexpected circumstances, Lale and Onur gradually begin to see each other in a different light. What started as a blind-date mix-up and a family crisis becomes a journey of romance, self-discovery and second chances, as two reluctant partners learn that love can appear when it is least expected.
